Transportation |
The
transportation of students to and from school is a very significant
part of the educational process here at Wyoming Indian School.
Since the school is located in a predominately rural area,
Nearly 100% of the student body, kindergarten through high
school, is eligible to ride the bus to and from school. Because
we also transport students from other adjoining districts our
activity bus routes are a significant part of our transportation
program. In addition some of the routes require traveling on
unpaved and unmaintained roads. As a result of constant monitoring
and maintenance by competent bus mechanics our fleet of buses
is always up and running. |

|
Twenty-two buses and eleven Suburbans travel over 300,000 miles
a year on 14 school routes and 4 activity routes, serving an
average student body of 600 students each day. Over 50,000 of
the miles are for out-of-town activity trips and field trips.
